Sara's Biography |
 |
I am a native of Chicago, and I own and operate a handmade custom jewelry business. My unique and attractive pieces consist
of semiprecious stones strung into necklaces and other jewelry with gold-trimmed pendants.
My work has been sold at gift shops at the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, the Spertus Museum of Judaica in Chicago and the
Field Museum and other specialty shops, also all in Chicago.
My artistry is a full-time business. I often make up to a dozen pieces at a time, working well into the night.
My pieces are made of all kinds of semiprecious stones, including onyx, tiger's eye, lapis, hematite, malachite, amethyst,
carnelian, turquoise, citrine, garnet and rose quartz, among others. I also use geodes and crystals, which, as with my other pieces, I avidly hunt for at my hidden
gem hideouts.
I started making necklaces as a child, when stringing beads was an exercise for a childhood eye condition. From there, it has
become a lifelong pursuit and love.
This web site is for your enjoyment and, hopefully, you will enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
